Nepal
With the enrichment of the board through Tashi Lama in 2021 we have been able to develop the Sharing Hands projects in Nepal very successfully in recent months.
In the two primary schools, the Hill Shine Academy and the school in the Buddhist convent, Tashi Gatsal Basic School, more and more children from the poorest backgrounds are enjoying school scholarships that you have donated, which are fundamentally important for them.
With just one franc per day, a school child can be provided with transport by the school bus, school supplies, clothes and food.

Thanks to Tashi Lama's excellent network in Nepal and his remarkable commitment, we now know which children are affected by great poverty and therefore need our support most urgently.
Thanks to Tashi Lama's impressive commitment, we can now also pay the teachers who would have to teach the children practically without pay without our financial support.

In the two villages of Bigu and Mude, we will launch further projects to support the mountain population this year.
Thanks to Tashi Lama's networking with  Pranita Chettri  and their non-profit organization Books for Change  from Lucerne, the schools in the two mountain villages will soon have proper libraries.
Pranita Chettri has already established 22 libraries in Nepal and India. It cooperates with der , among others.Nepal Youth Foundation. A team from the Nepal Youth Foundation carried out an evaluation of the situation in both communities and the two schools in March 2022. The two libraries are now being planned and built on the basis of their evaluation report. The teachers are regularly trained in use and didactics so that they can open doors and worlds for the children with the books.

A big thank you goes to Tashi Lama, Pranita Chettri and the team of the Nepal Youth Foundation for their goal-oriented work!

Tashi und Carmen Lama  have been able to help women out of poverty several times in Nepal with a kind of micro-credit snowball project.
The principle is very simple: a starting sum for setting up your own mushroom farm, for example, is given to a woman with whom she can set up her own mushroom business.
If the business is going well, the woman passes on this starting sum to another woman affected by poverty. She is also building up her mushroom business and when she is ready, another woman will benefit from this seed capital.
This process is constantly repeated, enabling more and more women to earn a regular income and thus escape from poverty.

Greece
The pandemic situation did not allow organizing events in which the extremely important activity of one happy family  in Greece in Switzerland could have been pointed out.
One Happy Family moved from Lesbos to Athens in spring 2022 and is now building the One Happy Family Victoria Community Center in Athens to offer refugees a place of dignity with self-determination.
Sharing Hands is very fortunate in supporting One Happy Family, happens to be Jinda Ibesh  to be hit.
Because the budding engineer has admirable, visionary plans and we are more than happy to support her: Jinda Ibesh designs living containers for asylum homes.
She herself had to experience what it is like to have to survive in a much too small, dirty, holey, wet tent on Samos. The sickening conditions in these asylum homes can be drastically improved thanks to Jinda Ibesh's valuable project.

Orphan Healthcare- Elves help children with rare diseases
Also the cooperation with  started in 2020dr Frank Grossman, the founder of the Orphan Healthcare Foundation, which has developed a holistic and integrative program for children with rare diseases, has been stalled by the pandemic situation. The plan was to jointly determine how the core program of the foundation could also be offered in the Sharing Hands partner projects. Children with rare diseases are among the most vulnerable and in many places where Sharing Hands supports projects, we would like to help those affected in the future - especially in areas where there is great need and poverty and offers for children with rare diseases are still largely lacking.

board of directors
Unfortunately, this spring we have to say goodbye to Silvia Salzmann, Quaestor, and Grégoire Filiâtre, Vice-President. Both will devote themselves more intensively to their other tasks. We would like to thank you for your contributions and wish you all the best for your future projects!
With Jinda Ibesh, Nadja Enescu and Muriel Nan  the Sharing Hands board will receive new high caliber team members with unique creativity and admirable stamina.
Nadja Enescu can draw on a wide range of experience in foundations, networking, communication, finance and administration. Her winning, open nature is convincing. Nadja Enescu will play a key role in shaping the operation of Sharing Hands and we are very pleased because the Sharing Hands projects are receiving a significant boost thanks to Nadja Enescu's enthusiasm.
The graduate economist Muriel Nann ideally complements the Sharing Hands Executive Committee. As an expert in economics and business administration as well as international economic law and an experienced therapist, Muriel Nann is the perfect person for the future Sharing Hands co-presidency. Muriel Nann knows exactly how projects are led to success and brings with him an extensive network of contacts that are beneficial for Sharing Hands.
